I used this card to take photos of my first child being born. Suddenly, the camera's battery died (forgive me as I do not recall the brand of the camera that was used). Later I wanted to review the pics with my wife and it would just say card error when turned on and to please format.

I was extremely upset about this. I finally placed the card in another camera and it basically said the same thing. Please format the card. I read on-line that it is ok to format as it still is possible to recover the pics so I did. After formating it will only say card error or unreadable in every camera I put it or something to that affect. It will not allow or give an option to format the card anymore. Futhermore, I am using a Targus High Speed SD card reader/writer to plug the card into my computer via USB. My mac nor my compaq computer even recognizes that there is a media card plugged in. Please Help!! :)
