My friend has been having problems with her Toshiba laptop, it has vista, she's been getting trojan and malaware popups and now he computer does not work properly, she can't find any backup CDs or anything for her laptop that will start it all over again, like wipe everything out. She can't get on the internet at all. I have a CD for my Dell laptop to re-install vista and all its utilities, btu I don't know if it will work on her Toshiba Laptop?? Will it work? And also, if she uses it, will I be able to use that CD in the future? The CD says Operating System Reinstallation DVD, "Use this DVD only to reinstall the operating system on a Dell PC" and then there's another CD named Drivers and Utilities "for reinstalling Dell XPS laptop computer software"
What can she do?

You can make a Vista Recovery Cd for your friend and reformat the entire computer.
This is the link.

But before you do that, try out the Dell disk. If it looks like the last 4 images on the site I gave you (Figure F - I), you can probably reformat the computer with that.

And yes, you can share an install CD. You just need your own individual CD key to make it work.
