My windows live messenger keeps crashing.
After I have been talking for about 10 minutes, messenger just crashes, it gives no error code or any information, I just have to ctrl + alt + del to close the programme.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but this hasn't worked any of the times. I have also tried downloading an older version of messenger, but it will not let me sign in unless I update the programme.

I am running Windows Vista, with 4gb Ram.

The only programmes that are open when this happens are, Windows Live, Mozilla Firefox, and sometimes iTunes.
