my son's cube got the blue screen of death last night. when he tried to boot up tonight it entered safe mode with the message "memory clock is DDR266" it asked 'press any key to continue' but it just freezes. am i right in assuming that a memory module has corrupted?.thanks for any assistance.

Possibly, though the DDR266 memory is only of significance if the memory was running at a faster speed before it blue-screen.
