I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 and I can't remember my password so I want to reformat the hard drive back to the factory settings. I don't have the windows vista CD.

How do I do this?

On the Dell logo, press CTRL+F11.

Or failing that, keep pressing F8. Select "Repair Your Computer" and you can use the system image from there.

I click on the "Repair Your Computer" option and it is asking me to put in the password that I state in the first post that I don't remember it.
I just want to reformat back to factory settings.
Is there a way past this step?
