Sweet !!!! you have been so much help!!! i ran AVG....nothing, then Spybot......nothing, then AdawareSE...... nothing HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!

I think i might just leave those 2 cookie trackers on D.... un less the Aloha guy says its fine to scan D ... then i might run every scan on the D drive to be sure..hehe Aloha still hasnt called me Back....rrrrrrrrr

I finally found that PM from the other night ...i just kept expecting it to pop up or something ;) Im kinda new to forums....

Well im down for releasing all those Badies on my home PC ( rechecking them in MSconfig) if you still want to...?

It scares me to release all those badies back out :tazz:

and if so is this what you want me to do ?

Start > run > msconfig > startup tab > then check every possible startup item and reboot. then post HJT log ?

I'll be up for a little while!

Easier way to do it is go to Start > Run > msconfig then click on the "General" tab and put a tick next to "Normal Startup". Click Apply, then click OK. Go ahead and reboot your computer after this before running HiJackThis.

should i disable MSAntispy before i do any of this or was i suppose to have done that in the first place....... ohhh hope i didnt screw up ?

Disable MSAS please.

dumprep 0 -u is not malicious. It doesn't need to be on Startup though. You need to disable it like this:

Right click on My Computer, selecting Properties and then the Advanced tab. Click on the Settings button in 'Startup and Recovery'. In the bottom pane - under 'Write debugging information' - click on the down arrow and then select 'None' - OK your way out.

Go to Start > Control panel > Add or Remove Programs and remove the following if found (don't freak out if they aren't there!!):

Web_Rebates
Power Scan
Internet Optimizer

Exit Add or Remove Programs.

Make sure you are disconnected from the Internet and that all programs and windows are closed. Run HijackThis and place a check next to the following items, IF found, then click FIX CHECKED (not all are malicious):

Run HijackThis. Place a check next to this item and click fix checked:

Close HiJackThis.
