can not connect to wireless network

i have an hp mini and since i got it i was never able to connect to the internet... my internet provider is cable n i have a linksys wireless B router...my other laptop is working good, so i don't know what happen to this one,
how should i fix it?? and when i click on wireless connection i see my wireless network but when i type in the password it says "please wait while windows connects to the linksys network" and after a few min. it stops without connecting.



please how can i fix this?

Have you tried your security key in lower case and upper case?

no..but i set the password to be in lower case

Go to Start > Connect To > Show all connections

Right click on "Wireless Network Connection" and click on Properties

In the General tab in window that pops up, scroll down in the box below "This connection uses the following items:"

Click on "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" and the Properties

On the both the General and Alternate Configuration tabs in the new window, make sure the automatic options are checked.

Do this on both laptops.

Can you connect your laptop to the internet when you connect it via Ethernet cable?

Try connecting through an alternative method, use Netstumbler.
