Oops! Forgot to list the issues as you requested.

So far, I have discovered the following:

I cannot do a search for files and folders on my computer. The module is missing (something about Search Companion cannot be found... rerun installation).

System Restore does not work. A module is missing. It won't even let me disable/enable it to clear the memory.

When I try to do a Windows Update, I get a blank page and it won't update.

Also my MSN Explorer Butterfly Browser stopped working so I uninstalled and deleted that program. I redownloaded it and tried to install it again and nothing happens when I click the installer.

I truly think my XP is corrupted. I have to wait for the cd to come to do anything about it, though.

Thanks for your help.

Since your malware problem appears to be resolved, I am going to ask that you start a new thread in the Windows XP forum when you get your CD.

The guys over there are experts at dealing with the OS itself and can help you out.

You can just tell them that your computer is clean of malware and that you are having system restore problems. They can take it from there.

Thank you for choosing Geeks To Go and I do hope you were satisfied with ukbiker as your helper ;)

Ok, but I only continued because UKBiker asked me to put the latest info on here. He was great.

Thanks,
