I accidentally ran windows updates and loaded IE8 a few months ago. Unfortunately it caused many incompatibilities with some of my applications so I uninstalled it. I am back to IE6 but for some reason now I cannot browse websites without it hanging for at least 30 seconds. I have determined that many times it is an ad that is trying to load but I'm not completely sure this is what the issue is. None of the other computers attached to my network are having this issue.

Any ideas???

I am running Intel® Core™2 Quad CPU Q6700 @ 2.66GHz and 3GB memory. I am also using High Speed Cable for my internet.
