I have tried everything that I know of and run all types of antivirus and spyware programs to try and remove but nothing works. So I would greatly appreciate some help. I have Windows 2000 PRO, NAV 2005, Adaware SE, Spybot, and Spyware Blaster. I have updated all definitions and rerun. Also, I have updated Windows as well. When I run SpySubMD, I get the following message/result.

Threat: Adware
Produced by: Effective-I Inc.
Product: UCmore Toolbar, IEextension
Detected in: Registry
Details: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Interenet Settings\ZoneMap\Ranges|Range1

I have tried to use regedit to delete Range 1 but it comes back everytime and always "un-immunizes" products in Spybot.

Please help me find a solution. :help:

Please disable microsoft antispyware and teatimer while we fix your log. You can re-enable it after we clean it up. ;)

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following, making sure you get them all and not any others by mistake:

Thanks for your suggestions but doesn't look like it removed the UC more. I ran SpySubMD, Spybot, NAV and Adaware again but UCmore still there with the same details as before. :tazz: I appreciate your help and let's see if the new Hijack This log has some more clues for you.

You may wish to print out a copy of these instructions to follow while you complete this procedure.

Please save Hijack This in a permanent folder (i.e. C:\HJT). This ensures backups are saved and accessible.

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items, then click fix checked.

Please download CleanUp! - Download - HomePage
Install and run. Click on the button labeled CleanUp!.

When it finishes it will prompt you to restart Windows - there will be one or two files it cannot delete when Windows is running - however, they will be deleted next time Windows starts up.

Reboot and post a new log. :tazz:

Sorry for the delay but thought I'd receive an email when you replied. Thanks for your help and here is the new log. Unfortunately, Webroot Spy Audit is now saying that I have adware that is a "Locator Toolbar". I have also attached a copy of the results for that. Please help me figure this out. It is very frustrating and apprehensive to do on line banking with these issues. :tazz:

Go to add/remove programs and see if ucmore is there. If so, remove it.

Remove these files (if present) with Windows Explorer:

loctest.php.hta
systemroot+\system\locators.dll
systemroot+\system32\locators.dll

Right click on http://www.silentrun...ent Runners.vbs and choose Save As...Save it to your Desktop. Make sure you have disabled any programs that may block/disable scripts (ex: Ad-Watch, TeaTimer, Norton, etc.). Double click on 'Silent Runners' to run it. This will take a few minutes. It will create a file called 'Startup Programs' followed by your computer name and current date. Open up that file and post all the contents here in your next post.

My fault. Trying to do too many things at once and not doing any of them well. :tazz:

* Please click this link to download silentrunners.
* Save it to the desktop.
* Run Silent Runner's by doubleclicking the "Silent Runners" icon on your desktop.
* You will see a text file appear on the desktop - it's not done yet, just let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
* Once you receive the prompt "All Done!", double-click on the new text file on the desktop and copy that entire log and paste it here.

[b]*NOTE* If you receive any warning message about scripts, please choose to allow the script to run.[/b

OK...I'm freaky because all the bells and whistle on NAV are going off. It warns that silentrunners contains malicious code. Is there somewhere I can go to verify the authenticity of this program? Don't mean to be a sissy but......

Thanks

I have people download it all the time. What programs do you have that are setting off all the bells and whistles?
