Please set your system to show
all hidden files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape Browser\netscape.exe<<right-click on this and tell me it's properties.

coachswife.....i'm sorry i meant to also mention that i now have two adware products showing up in SpySubtract Basic:

Company: Effective-I Inc. Products: UCmore Toolbar, IEextension

Company: J. Marshall Products: GnucleusDNA

why have these shown up all of a sudden?

Also, I have run NAV 2005, Spybot, AdAware, Ewido, XoftSPy, and CounterSpy with negligible results. What the heck is going on?

The Add/Remove Programs option for ‘UCmore’ (v3 and v4 variants) or ‘IE Menu Extension toolbar’ (IEMenuExtension variant) should work.

The uninstaller for v3 leaves behind an empty ‘UCmore’ folder in Program Files, and keys HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\53CBEE82-D747-11D3-9ED0-005004189684 and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\UCmore in the registry, which you can delete to clean up if you wish.

I think we are getting closer because not getting as many issues. However, Webroot SpyAudit is identifying these issues so I have included the report from the program. See below.

Current Risk Spyware Found on Your Computer
Low Moderate Dangerous

What does this mean?
Trojans 0
System Monitors 0
Adware (See list)(Close list)· Locators Toolbar· ABetterInternet 2
Adware Cookies 0

Do you need a Hijackthis run as well? This Locators Toolbar is very stubborn. Please let me know and maybe I can let you get back to more important things. Thanks

i don't see them....I also ran all spyware programs and NAV 2005 in safe mode and deleted anything that came up as spyware. But the issues on Webroot SPY Audit still there. hope you had a good weekend. one other item, i have noticed is when i run spybot, i get 1 item not immunized and when i "immunize it again" , then the Effective-I Inc. shows up in SPySubtract again. So looks like Effective I reappears after the immunization. The suspect item shows in Windows registry as : UCMore Toolbar, IEextension

Path: S-1-5-21-725345543-1202660629-1343024091-1000\software\microsoft\windows\current version\internet settings\zonemap\ranges\range1

I have tried deleting range1 with regedit but everytime I immunize this reappears. So not sure what to do about it.

here is what is running shown by task manager:
Adaware.exe
ccApp.exe
ccEvtMgr.exe
ccSetMgr.exe

I researched this and found someone else who had similar troubles. They tried this. Even though you don't have anything listed in the trusted range, I thought I would try it.

Download: http://www.mvps.org/.../DelDomains.inf

To use: RIGHT-CLICK DelDomains.inf on your desktop and select: Install (no need to restart)
Note: This will remove all entries in the "Trusted Zone" and "Ranges" also.
