I have been Googling all morning and afternoon and I finally give up! I am not very technical, but I am not afraid of the computer, either and can usually follow instructions. There are just multiple problems right now. :)

I purchased this Dell mini laptop only a few weeks ago.

I have XP.

I was able to connect to my wireless service. I have a router.

I cannot download anything. I tried Firefox (currently have IE6), Itunes, and Java.
Oh, and Spybot Search and Destroy, because I thought maybe I had malware since that was a suggestion I saw during my Googling frenzy. I do have McAfee installed and it says all is well.

EVERY TIME the files start to download, they stop and then a message says the file is corrupt.

Many of the websites I visit are showing "Done with Errors on Page." Links will not work, parts of the page do not load.

Sometimes, pictures show up missing parts or colored funny.

:) :) :)

Please help.

I really appreciate it. Being in grad school is making my head spin enough.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a great day!
