hi all,

hoping someone can help me figure this out...

i have the latest directx 9.0c installed in my desktop. I've been having problems launching some big fish games and installing applications like powerdvd, it keeps on saying "cannot create a direct3d device.", my graphic card drivers' up to date, I installed the latest update to directx 9.0c but it's still the same.

I tried the same procedure (games and installations) on my laptop, trying to find out if the applications and games that are the problem but it worked on our laptop. What could be the problem here?

Thanks in advance :)
