Hello I posted in earlier thread was having trouble connecting to internet. I thought maybe it was a Direcway (satellite company) problem. However I hooked up a dialup connection and ended up with the same problem. Now I ran across something at another help site that " certain programmers have figured out how to tie their software to Winsock so that if you try to uninstall it the internet connection stops working." Again I am not much of a computer guy (I don't know what Winsock even is...) but is it possible this has happened to me after I attempted to remove roings?

Thanks for quick response.
However the link that you gave doesn't work. Says the page doesn't exist anymore. Are there any other similar progams? Also no meaning to be an idiot. But when I can't get online How do I run a program like that? Save it to disk and then install it on other comp? Or does that work. Thanks again for help
