ello guys,

recently moved into university to find that i can no longer connect to xbl.... i have got a wireless connection from campus going through the laptop and then have bridged that connection over to the xbox with an ethernet cable. Everything on the network testing works apart from the mtu settings... and i have tried logging into the router (lols) but obviously its all firewalled up. and have tried using 'regedit' to change the settings from their but once again its set at a standard mtu below 1364!!!!

any help would be much appreciated.

this is probably done intentionally just to keep hundreds of people in the dorms from tying down network bandwidth with xbox streams.. I know this isnt helpful but there may not be anything you can do other than call the IT department and try to explain the problem and see if maybe they will bump the MTU setting up a bit.
