Hello,

Dell Inspiron 6000

Currently operating windows vista business

I am unable to boot the OS.

When i turn on my computer i can only access a black screen entitled Windows Error
Recovery and my options are to:

1. Start in safe mode
2. safe mode w networking
3. safe mode w command prompt
4. last know good configuration
5. start windows normally

Unfortunatly none of these options work. i can also access the advanced boot options page
by pressing F8, but none of these options appear to be any help.

I ran a diagnostic and found some errors.

IDE Disk s-n 953F5548T- Verify Test
Error Code- 0F00:1A44 Uncorrectable data error or media is write protected.
Message Block: 26614962 and 26614970 to at least 26614987.

Also I am currently in South America with no access to my windows vista CD, purchased
through Indiana University.

What is my next step. Thanks for the help!
