Hi,

I have a Acer one series netbook model no: zg5.
which doesn't have a CD rom drive.

I have a similar problem to a previous poster:

When I start computer I just get my desktop and wallpaper and then the errror message comes up "This application has failed to start because Wininet.dll was not found, reinstalling the application mayfix this problem"

I have no start button so I can not access anything.

Please advise.

Can you access Task Manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL?
Did you try to start in Safe Mode?

Yes I could do both. I could CTRL ALT DELETE, and I could access safe mode....

In Safe Mode....

Go Start>Run ("Start Search" in Vista), type in:
sfc /scannow
Click OK (hold CTRL, and SHIFT, hit Enter in Vista).
Have Windows CD/DVD handy (with Vista, most likely, you won't need it).
If System File Checker (sfc) will find any errors, it may ask you for the CD/DVD (rarely in Vista case).
If sfc won't find any errors in Windows XP, it'll simply quit, without any message.

So in Safe mode you do not have a "start" button?

If so, go to safe mode
Right click on task bar on bottom and choose "task manager".
Open task manager
Click on applications tab
At the bottom is a "new task" button
Click on that
Then type in what Broni posted earlier and follow those instructions.
