Windows 7 32bit Stops Responding?

Windows 7 seems to stop responding randomly and i dont know what to do. I tried almost everything i can think of but nothing works. It happens mostly when im using a lot of ram for games and youtube videos. The HD light goes off and everything just stops working...Please help
