Can any one tell me how to replace a bad Windows Explorer.exe on Vista??

It's WINDOWS Explorer...not INTERNET Explorer!

Not trying to fix webpages...trying to keep desktop from crashing and resetting its self over and over...even in Safe Mode.

If this file was damaged you would not even see a desktop at all.
More likely the system's infected. Malware forum if you please, down the corridor and second on the left.

I have followed the MALWARE FORUM's advise and cant go any further then step 4 - the reset!!! The desktop loads up but then starts crashing and resetting..and the cycle goes on and on.. I have run the OTL and Malwarebytes and all that..in order following it to the letter and am stuck...only way to stop the cycle is to CTRL/ALT/DELETE to get to task mgr and stop explorer processes then I get a blank desktop with nothing on it.

I already have a post on here from three days ago...38 people have read my post but no response except my own.

I so fed up!!!!

If you cant do any more of the steps then go ahead and make a topic in the Malware Removal forum and let them know

Malware issues are not dealt with in this part of the forum
