I am newbie with computers so I'll list as much information as possible in hope someone may recognize the problem. I'm a part time musician and artist and I utilize social networking sites like myspace to display my work to the masses and to get tips and tricks from people who use the same kind of open-source apps as I do. After talking guitar with this guy the other night I started running my anivirus and about half way through I got the blue screen of death. Luckily my computer did re-boot so I deleted my backup drive and did a reformat from my recovery discs. I did not disconnect the lithium battery from the motherboard and it did retain a small amount of information it looks like (like my name and warranty information). I wasn't sure if a virus could hide in their or not. I am using a Compaq SR5250NX, with windows 32 bit operating system. As far as security I am running Avira free edition, MalwareBytes free edition, spybot, Adcanced System Care, CC Cleaner, and a Vista FIrewall Controller. Every night after I get through I update and run Avira, Malwarebytes, and CC Cleaner. For my browser I am using Firefox with add block, no script, better privacy and I delete cookies and history every time I close it including any accumulated LSO's. This morning I installed Advanced System Care and ran it thoroughly and generated a hijack this report. Anything look out of the ordinary? Does it look like I got it cleaned out? One last question, if the album art and layouts I did while my computer was infected, will it be re-infected if I load the page again or is it hosed on a server and ok to do so?

I did find one virus with Avira which is currently quarantined and am not sure if it is the root of the problem.
