Hullo there!

After much frustration of my laptop screen back light turning off I decided to replace the back light only to find that in Britain its a near impossibility to get hold of a back light for a monitor, so i had to do without a light on my screen, then i got told it was my inverter board that was broke! I was a very frustrated, so now i need a new screen an invertor board! However im looking to upgrade the screen from 1280x800 resolution to a nifty 1680x1050 by means of this LG PHILIPS LP154WE2 monitor, only thing is i dunno if its gonna b compatible with my laptop the aforementioned Amilo Pi2515 and knowing my luck id replace it only for it not to work. So whilst I'm waiting for my funds to come through so i can buy a new monitor I'm tryin to find out if this will work! If anyone could shed some light on the subject it would b much appreciated!

THANKS!

Hi and welcome :)

I'm not sure, but you'd need to get confirmation from the seller if your Amilo notebook is supported for that screen. Other than that, how did you get told it was the inverter board that is broken?

Cheers

well i think if i ring up fujitsu im pretty sure that they would want me to send it in to them an theyll repair at a fat premium, i took the laptop to a repair shop they told me it was the inverter, but sed that it would cost £80 to get a brand new screen an i would have to but i new inverter seperate, or i could go second hand an get one for £60, but i still would only get 1280x800 an i really do need more resolution cos i do 3d modellin an flash stuff an theres not enough room on the screen!!
