Won't Stay Connected to wifi

Very recently I have been having trouble staying connected to the wifi. I am using XP and connect to the wifi of my landlord. I can connect when I initally log on for about half an hour. I then lose the connection even though I can see there is a signal. After the signal is dropped I am unable to reconnect. I have used the Linksys program and the Windows connection program and have the same result with both.
