I certainly could use some help on this one. I installed Virtual PC 2007 on my com puter. I have Vista Home Premium 64 bit and I am using Windows 98 2nd ed. on virtual pc. For some reason, no matter what I do, I can't get any sound out of it. I have installed virtual machine additions, I tried the latest hotfix (kb958162.msp), I tried a couple of solutions from a couple of different people:

http://blog.nerdbank...virtual-pc.html (no help at all)

http://blogs.msdn.co...07-part-ii.aspx (didn't work. maybe I did something wrong?)

Is there anyone out there that can shed some light on this one? I'm using a Gigabyte GA-M61P-S3 with onboard Realtek HD audio drivers. :)

Update: I have gotten Windows ME to work correctly WITH sound on VPC 2007. And without VMA in stalled. I tried it both ways and the sound is still skippy at times, but hey... what can you do..... perhaps the Windows 98 se just won't work? If anyone still has any suggestions, I would love to hear them. I DO love 98 a lot more then ME!
