Itunes won't open, error message (-50)

I updated my itunes for the household sharing thing theyre offering now. I couldn't figure out how to work this if you wondering. But the next day I tried to open itues and it said "the Itunes application is not working. An unknown error ocurred(-50)" Ive reinstalled Itunes and nothing is working. I went onto my other user account on my computer and it worked fine but if i try to synce with that one it will erase all my music and applications on my Iphone. this has been going on for maybe a week now and I'm getting desperate. Please help me?
