have a HP laptop
opsystem Vista 32 bit
+ HP printer 2550L
Have downloaded the drivers but cannot install them
have been intouch with HP tech advice who state its a vendor op system issue

when USB from printer is plugged windows attempts to install the driver but fails to locate
and install the correct driver.

Have dwonloaded the latest drivers from HP there are three ?
they require unzipping but wont install once unzipped

have undone the driver
have undone the composite USB
have deleted the printer
have re plugged the usb from the printer and no progress is made

have downloaded the drivers from the HP site

not sure what else to say
the lap top is a HP G60 ?
OS Name Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Home Premium
Version 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002
System Model HP G60 Notebook PC
Processor AMD Athlon Dual-Core QL-62, 2000 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)

the error messages are that the HP printer is not installed
