I noticed that AVG hasn't been able to update itself, so I uninstalled it with the intent to install avast instead.
when I downloaded Avast, it wouldn't install. it gives me an installation error. so I ran Malware-Bytes, it came up with nothing, as did Windows Defender.
I've tried downloading Spybot Search and Destroy, but it also gives me an error on installation.

Also,
AIM and Xfire recently stopped working, they won't connect at all, so I tried using AIM express and it won't connect either, which is odd since it's online.

I ran ComboFix and apparently it deleted a DLL that was associated with FireFox. and now I can't get FF to download at all (it downloads, but it won't appear where I save it.) so I'm running on IE at the moment.

I also did a system restore to about a month ago, but it didn't help anything.

Anyway,
here's the ComboFix log.
