my desktop is running off a wireless connection and I can see that I am connected to the router but I can't open any Internet Explorer or Firefox. I have my laptop sitting right next to the desktop and it is working fine as you can see. I tried to go to the tools and make sure that all of the settings were the same and they were. So do you know where i should look next? I assume it is a setting somewhere.

Thanks
Bud

Hi,
What network card/adapter do you have on the Desktop? I used to have this problem but I installed software from the internet specific to my network card to fix it.

I have a removable 2.4GHz Linksys card in my laptop. It is an old Inspiron 1100.
