Some days ago i made a reboot of the computer for some reasons and now, after installing driver hardware and programs i can't seem to connect to any sorts of games and server. I can't connect to games like Warcraft 3, starcraft, steam, MSN. My webbrowser Internet explorer 8 works just fine though.
Most often the error message is something like "If you are using a modem you might need to connect to internet manually" or "You have no internet connection". But there is no problem with the connection. Also i can find other computers on the network LAN via internet.
I already tried turning of firewalls, checking router options and port forwarding. I tried to release the ip-adress by using the following:
Select Start and goto run, write "cmd"
In the run box type "netsh int ip reset" without quotation marks and press enter
Next select Start and goto run
In the run box type "netsh winsock reset" without quotation marks and press enter
Now restart your computer
I also tried all repair functions available in the network section.
I have no clue about how to solve this problem. And it's really frustrating. Any help or suggestions are more then welcomed. Thanks on before
