heating problem?

i have a hp pavillion zv5000 laptop.when it first boot up it works just fine,and within 25-30 mins being on the screen goes black but the computer stays running.sometimes i get the bsod but with no stop error message.i have recently took of the heatsink and cleaned the fans. i applied artic silver 5 thermal paste to the cpu. the computer now stays on a little bit longer but eventually it starts restarting or i start getting the black screen. i have two fans and i noticed that one stay on while the other just spins for about two seconds on startup and never comes back on. iam confused. any help would be appreciated greatly.
