Need help restoring my hand built pc.

ok somehow my ie update screwed my game over because my medal of honor allied assault online, will no longer play on my pc. i am trying to restore it,but i did not make a recovery disk. plz walk me threw the reset, somehow my restore points option was off and i never realized it till the other day.

oh and my pc has intel core i7-920 chip, msi x58 platinum motherboard, seagate 1.5tb hdd, corsair xms3 6gb memory, bfg geforce 9600 gt oc 512mb graph card.
