Hi, I have been trying to deal with Dr. Watson Postmortem Debugger to no avail. I would sincerely appreciate any help. Here is a copy of my log:

I hope this was done correctly, I am a bit unaware with computers. I have looked at this thing for ages trying to figure it out myself and only concluded that rundll32.dll may not be good and that BHO: (no name) My WaySA.....desrcas.dll might be good to remove. okay, i have no clue what i'm doing. Please read through the instructions before you start (you may want to print this out).

You are running HijackThis from the Desktop; please create a new folder for it and move the program into the new folder

Please set your system to show all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

Download Pocket Killbox and unzip it; save it to your Desktop.

Reboot into Safe Mode: please see here if you are not sure how to do this.

Clear out the files in the Prefetch folder. Go to start> run> type into the box Prefetch and delete all the files in that folder.

Clean out temporary and TIF files. Go to Start > Run and type in the box: cleanmgr. Let it scan your system for files to remove. Make sure all are checked and then press *ok* to remove:

Run ewido full scan save the log post the log with the other's

Please go offline, close all browsers and any open Windows, making sure that only HijackThis is open. Scan and when it finishes, put an X in the boxes, only next to these following items:

Exit Explorer.

Run killbox and click the radio button that says Delete a file on reboot. For each of the files you could not delete, paste them one at a time into the full path of file to delete box and click the red circle with a white cross in it.
The program will ask you if you want to reboot; say No each time until the last one has been pasted in whereupon you should answer Yes. Let the system reboot.

Check the custom settings to your liking under options, but be sure to delete temporary files and temporary internet files for all user profiles. Also, cleanout the prefetch folder and the recycle bin.When the scan has finnished click the close button

Okay, So here's the story of my adventures with your directions:

I fixed the files with Hijack This no problem. Then, it was on to deleting things using Windows Explorer. This was fine until C:\Documents and Settings\SARA LATSHAW\Local Settings\Temp\p2psetup.exe wasn't there. So, that I couldn't do. I searched for it and I could not find it. Also, my computer got the postmortem debugger message about five times when trying to delete the Program File: Adaware Filter. So, each time I had to reboot I redid ALL of the steps (hope that was correct) and finally deleted it. So, then I opened Killbox and put in all the file names you gave me. I just want to double check that this is correct because when I finally hit REBOOT I got this message: PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been Removed by External Process. Just want to make sure I was supposed to get that. Alright, I hope I am doing this okay. I went ahead and did all the other steps even though I couldn't find the p2psetup.exe file. So, here are my logs:

Hi bondbabe

Please read through the instructions before you start (you may want to print this out).

Please set your system to show all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

use window exploer delete the following folder.
C:\Program Files\MyWay

Reboot into Safe Mode: please see here if you are not sure how to do this.

Clear out the files in the Prefetch folder. Go to start> run> type into the box Prefetch and delete all the files in that folder.

Clean out temporary and TIF files. Go to Start > Run and type in the box: cleanmgr. Let it scan your system for files to remove. Make sure all are checked and then press *ok* to remove:

Run killbox and click the radio button that says Delete a file on reboot. For each of the files you could not delete, paste them one at a time into the full path of file to delete box and click the red circle with a white cross in it.
The program will ask you if you want to reboot; say No each time until the last one has been pasted in whereupon you should answer Yes.

Please download, install and run this disk cleanup utility called Cleanup version 4.0!

Hey, I'm still getting this postmortem debugger message whenever I try to do almost anything in Windows Explorer, especially if I right click on something. I've also been getting the message when I'm using other programs as well causing my computer to freeze again and again. If I go to the task manager and stop DRWATSON32 (or something like that) then it works again. I don't know if that is a bad thing to do or if this is just something that I will always have to do but it is a bit frustrating that I can't really use windows explorer. Click start> run> type in the box regedit

Your registery will open
Click on the following keys in this order.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

SOFTWARE

MICROSOFT

WINDOWS NT

AeDebug

Right click on AeDebug> a pop up with a list will show> now click on Export> in the window that pops up> Look at the box that say's Registration file's now change that to Text files (*.txt) > Then in the box file name type: give it a name joe click save And save it to your desktop.

Open the file and post the content's to this topic

Okay, I did what you said and it said tha DrWatson was installed as my default debugger (or something along those lines). Then, shortly "windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to shut down" followed by the Dr.Watson Error message. I had to go back to the task manager to end the DRWTSN32.exe process in order to get my computer to work again. Is there any hope?? Thanks again, Sara

Please download and install these programs - don't run them yet!!

Please download and unzip
About:Buster to a folder. Inside the folder is a readme file that has instructions on the use of the program.
AboutBuster MUST be updated before you use it.
Start AboutBuster, click the update button, check for update, drag the box to the side and hit download updates, close the box . Don't run it yet.

Please download and install AD-Aware.
Check Here on how setup and use it - please make sure you update it first.

Download and unzip cwsserviceremove to your desktop. use either link below:

cwsserviceremove.zip

Download CW-Shredder at the link below:
CWShredder

Open Windows Explorer & Go to Tools > Folder Options. Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked.
Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and untick "hide extensions for known file types" . Now click "Apply to all folders"
Click "Apply" then "OK"

Reboot into Safe Mode: Click here if you don't know how to do this.

Run AboutBuster . This will scan your computer for the bad files and delete them. Save the report (copy and paste into notepad or wordpad and save as a .txt file) and post a copy back here when you are done with all the steps.

Scan with AdAware and let it remove any bad files found.
