xp clean up start up programs

does anyone know of a free pragram that can help me get rid of some of these start-up programs. its taking 10-20 mins for my computer to completley boot up after a restart and i dont want to close the wrong ones. i have a ho slimline with xp home edition. i would also like to clean up the hard drive but again i dont want to delete something i need and screw up the computer. i have all of this hp stuff taking up alot of space and dont think i need it.
