posted over there and was advised to come here...

my previous post:

molasses has seeped into the veins of my computer since yesterday when I made the BOO-BOO of installing stopzilla, well I uninstalled it with REVO uninstaller, no help there, left the desktop shortcut behind...

have walked through the 1st four steps on the malware guide here, and was seeing some improvement, but back to forzen molasses...

I installed and ran TFC, System Restore, ERUNT, MBAM... things sped up for a bit, but now it takes many many minutes for a web page to even load... go to another place on the same web page,,, HOURGLASS... HOURGLASS, HOURGLASS...

and then I have the lovely issue of constant not responding which started months ago, and my mouse pointer freezes if I re-start the computer. To get it work I have to TURN the computer OFF.

I saved the logs from MBAM & TFC...

am also having issues w 100% CPU usage and low virtual memory...

in May of last year I had the memory increased from the original 128 MB memory stick to 2 512's... this computer IS old, but it took me until last May too fill up 128 MB, and now I am getting messages that I have 55 MB of memory left, and have not used this PC all that much since last May as I bought a laptop and had been using that... so what used up so much memory in 17 months versus the prior 8 years...

I am obviously not a geek of any kind and would appreciate whatever anyone here can offer...

I will finish up the list of downloads and so on under the malware thread... thought I was on the right road earlier today, but am ready for a screaming room right about now.

Thanks again for any and all help.

Sorry you were advised to start in the Malware forum. I will supply the information with the links for you.

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum. If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools
