Call of Duty United Offensive Problem Please Help!

I have this problem for about a week now, I have been able to run cod uo fine for ages and I stopped playing it for a few days and as far as I know nothing changed in that time. But now every time I try to start cod uo mp or sp my screen just flashes a few times and then i get the message "coduomp/exe has stopped" working. the weird thing is cod 1 normal works fine.

I tried uninstalling the game like 4-5 times, completely removing it checking in register etc. also with cod 1 completely and reinstalling etc. doesn't work

tried running in compatability mode and running as administrator neither work.

Tried system restore, doesn't work. tried asking a person who's been playing this game since it came out and he doesn't have a clue, never heard of my problem. I don't get it because it had been working fine for ages.

I really hope anyone can help me out with my problem because I need my cod uo fix
