I have a Toshiba Qosmio F10 which I have not used for the previous year or so because it stopped working, and I ended up buying a new laptop. However, my new laptop is playing up again so I wanted to restore the Toshiba. Whenever a video was playing or music, a windows pop up would come up saying something along the lines of "A problem has been detected with the cooling system. Please see manufacturer." and then usually turn it self off.

1) I took it to a repair shop, who did a system restore to factory settings so it was like as I received it, and run various CPU tests and I think replaces the fans, and put a new HD in replacing the old 60GB with a new 120GB.

2) I received it back yesterday, and it seemed to be working fine but whenever I watch a video i.e. YouTube or BBC iPlayer it is ok for 2 minutes, and then the video just stutters and just shows images. The CPU processes is at 100%.

3) Also, when I switch it on, the first screen says:
PXE-E61 Error - Media Test Failure. Check cable.

But it always loads ok.

4) One last point to make is that there is no battery. I lost it ages ago and never bought another one so it runs of AC power only.
