I believe I picked up a virus on my net book. I have not been able to turn it on even when plugged in to power.

Never heard of a virus that would cause a system not to at least power on.
This sounds more like a Power supply problem or a ac adapter problem.

Thanks will check power supply this week-end. I will post something a little more changeling this weekend, from my other desktop

Had a few more issues, still under warranty, so send it in for repair. Don't know how long it will take but I will post an update when I have the netbook back.
