Hello all, a freind suggested I stop by here to see if anyone can lend me a hand.

I am a fairly Knowledgeable user / builder of my own PC's and typically I can diagnose issues but this has me stumped.

I was on my PC last night doing e-mail, browsing and playing an online game, everything was fine. This morning I boot up and my outlook is missing it's .pst file.

What I have tried so far

Office detect and repair
System restore points
Searching for the .pst files
Virus scans
Defrag
Disc cleanup

I can't find the file, I can't repair it, I can't restore it, nothing, I went to indexing options and checked it to find .pst files as it does not seem to default to this setting and nothing. It is as if it has vanished from my machine entirely.

Windows Vista - Latest service pack
Office 2003

Have had zero issues with the PC of any kind for over two years, I keep it clean and tuned up.

Any help would be appreciated.
