Hi,

First post here so please excuse my ignorance.

I have recently deleted a folder by accident and want to restore it but can't seem to do so.

My name is Adam and in windows explorer in the tabs I used to see:

Desktop > Adam > Videos (as well as music, videos, pictures etc)

This is not a folder I created but one of the ones that is automatic.

However tonight while trying to delete a folder that was in it I accidentally deleted the folder itself and can't seem to find a way of restoring it.

It doesnt appear in the Recycle Bin which was my first (and only) guess. Has anyone else had this problem and do you know how to restore the folder and its contents?

I'm sure this is very straight forward but I am finding it very frustrating!

Thanks for your help,

Adam

in Vista the Videos folder is a system folder so while you probably can delete it, by rights it should automatically re-create itself next time you restart the computer.
System folders when deleted do not end up in the Recycle Bin.
