card reader monitor for 9360 4.5 - not responding

When shutting my Gateway system down, the error message "card reader monitor for 9360 4.5 not responding" consistently appears on the screen. ...and forces me to end the program manually. Is there an update for my system that will permit it to shut down without this message?
