when i try to boot in windows safe mode (via F8) i get the following error message (this happens whether i click on boot in safe mode or with networking or other options).
basically it says there has been an error and then the following info:

STOP: 0x000000A (0xF79BA354,0x000000FF,0x00000001,0x804E5619).

everything seems to work ok although the computer does run a bit slow. i have removed old programmes, cleaned up temp files, defragged etc.but there is still only 10% of hard disk space remaining.

what is the above error and how can i get the computer to run in safe mode. btw, hardware is Dell Dimension 5000 and i don't have original windows xp disks since windows came preinstalled with the computer.

many thanks

paul

See here: http://blog.didierst...ith-a-reg-file/
Create fresh restore point before using the fix.
