internet explorer can't find page

I have been trying to go to facebook for a few days using internet explorer and it keeps telling me page cant be found or page will open and all it shows is lines and lines of different symbols. I have been able to use facebook with no issues up until now. Thanks for any help

Not sure if this could be your problem...

Some symbols may not show because your computer does not contain the font set and/or your browser is not set to the correct Character Encoding. Changing browser's encoding is usually done from its View Menu.
