Hello everybody

i have a computer running windows xp sp 2 and and giving it to someone else.

I would like to give them a clean installed computer but i do not have a cd for xp as i bought the computer from bestbuy.

Is there anyway i can install it without a disc or with a downloaded copy?

any help would be appreciated thanks

You may have recovery partition there.
What brand of computer is it? How old?

If recovery partition is present, using it will return computer to its original state (basically the same as clean install; recovery = clean install + preinstalled garbage).

Restart computer and at Acer logo try to press ALT+F10 (desktop), F10 (laptop)
