Ati Radeon problems Help?

hi everyone,
I am just after some help regarding a graphics accelerator i have just installed.
Its an old Ati Radeon 9200se..
I have installed ati and what i thought were all drivers for this plus a new monitor.
The problem is whenever i select a game to play the system crashes and reboots itself, then displays
"system has recovered from serious error" message..
I have also tried to download ATI Catalyst drivers 9.9 xp, but when i try to install this
it says my system is not compatable...
I am unsure of what to do next, any help Greatly apprecciated..
