Best Intel Processor?

I'm only 16, so go easy if I ask obvious questions, this is my first time building a PC. For what I need to do I need just about everything to be top of the line, and the first step in building my computer is trying to figure out a processor.

What would you say is the best Intel processor, and which one is cheaper but doesn't not have a very noticeable different from what you would consider the best?

I was thinking about the Intel Core i5-750, but I'm not sure.
