hi there. i have a problem with my old pc windows so i want to repair it. my hard disk only have a partition © n have my old personal data on there. is my data save or lose if i repair the windows? pls help me coz i really need my data back..tq

99.9% of cases the accounts and the data will remain untouched.

Its the other .1% you cant be sure of.
It is and always will be recommended to save your data before you do anything.
It is also recommended to back up on a regular basis.

Are we talking about a OEm system like..Compaq, HP, Dell?
If not do you have the original XP installation disk?
Is it A Retail version or OEM?
Full version or upgrade?
Same version at what is on your system now?
If it is a OEM system then the recovery will be different then a repair.
