Hi all - I came home today to find my computer had a pop-up that said there was a "med" level "Root(don't remember the rest)...." virus (I think it said virus?) and that while it could not be removed, it can be quarentined. I went to click to do so and realized my computer was frozen.

I did a hard shut down and no matter what mode I try to bring it back up in, I get nothing but the cursor arrow and a blank screen.

I tried to restart in Safe Mode with Command Prompt and got a blue screen that things were shutting down and the cycle started all over again.

Am I done for? :)
