I have a ASUS m3a78 T motherboard and have for a long time used its integrated graphcard, now i went out and bought a new Nvidia 1024 MB GDDR3 card and i have put it in following all the instructions. But my computer doesn´t find it. It does however find a monitor connected to it. Is there anything huge im overlooking?

But my computer doesn´t find it

What exactly do you mean? What specific card is it, and from what manufacturer?
