Aww shucks! Well, I admire your stick-with-itness and appreciate everything you tried. Would you mind walking me through doing a factory restore? It's a netbook, so I don't have a CD drive. When I bought it, it didn't come with an XP CD for reinstallation. Any ideas on how I can get my computer back to form? Again, sorry for such a complicated case! If this is something that I can get taken care of by the end of this weekend, that'd be great.

Nevermind. I called tech support and found out how. Quite simple actually! I should have done this 2 months ago, eh? Anyway, I do appreciate the help. You folks at GeeksToGo are awesome. I hope I won't have to seek G2G's support again, but if I do run into problems again I know who to turn to. Cheers!
