Ugh. I wiped out the hard drive on a Dell Dimension 8400. I get a blinking cursor at the start-up prompt. I cannot get the computer to read the CD - even using the F12 key. I need to get this computer up and running. Any suggestions? (and no, throwing it out the window is not an option because it is not my computer).

I even tried to install the RAID driver but the computer won't read a USB drive either. And no, there is no floppy disk drive.

Thanks!

You might try resetting the bios. Remove the motherboard battery for about 5 mins to set the bios back to default values. HERE is the link to your system.
