Hello laura91.... Welcome to GeeksToGo, :) :) :)

I'm sorry to hear about your issue. We will try to help you resolve this as soon as possible.
Please understand we are all volunteers and we are not here all the time. Sometimes it may be a extended amount of time to get back to you. If it has been more then 3 days please shoot me a PM and I will try to get back to you quickly then.

Go HERE and scroll down till you find the list of drivers.
Click on each of the drivers you need and download them.
Once you have them installed then burn the driver files to a cd for future reference.
Let me know how this works out for you. :) :)

The first driver i suggest you get is the Motherboard Chipset Driver
This will normally fix the majority of the problems.
After that then do the following in this order:
video
network which will be the two drivers you list.
PCI controller is most likely a modem of some type and this should be taken care with the installation of Chipset driver

Go to the page i gave in my first post. Scroll down the page till you find

Download Advent 4211 Netbook Intel Chipset Driver For XP/Vista
The link to download it is right below it.

Once that is installed then just get the drivers listed below that one at a time.

You are very welcome. I will await your results.
Also if you could please do the following.....

Please Go to
1: STARTand the click on RUN
2: Type in devmgmt.msc
3: Click Enter
4. Look for any entries with Yellow Exclamation ! marks or Red X's

Take a screenshot and attach it to your next reply.
To do a screenshot please have click on your Print Screen on your keyboard. It is normally the key above your number pad between the F12 key and the Scroll Lock key
Now go to Start and then to All Programs
Scroll to Accessories and then click on Paint
In the Empty White Area click and hold the CTRL key and then click the V
Go to the File option at the top and click on Save as
Save as file type JPEG and save it to your Desktop

Check the bios to see if the FN key has been disabled there.
To enter bios when you first turn on system try tapping the DEL
Yours may be the F12, ESC, or F1 key.
When you first turn the system on and at the bottom of the screen it should say how to enter the Bios\Cmos.

Do you still have multiple operating systems like you referenced in 1 of the other 4 topics you have started and not completed?

How are we to know what condition the computer is in when you post multiple topics on the same computer and keep changing things?

I suspect that what you need now is to straighten out the motherboard drivers.

Please stay with this topic so we can get you up and running.
Do not start another topic for this netbook.

what do you mean by straighten out the motherboards

Straighten out the motherboard (chipset) drivers. These are the ones rshaffer61 is working on with you.

Looks like we still need to deal with the following:
pci device is still there after i ran chipset driver.
also i got a few messages at the start saying couldnt verify? Did the message say what it couldn't verify?
under my bios there isnt anything about the fn key? I assume you are still missing the fn (function keys)?

I am looking at the drivers list to see if we are missing something. Stay tuned.
